Line Cook/Prep Cook

We are looking for an ambitious Line/Prep Cook to assist in the preparation of delicious dishes in the kitchen. You’ll perform routine kitchen tasks such as setting up workstations and ingredients, so that food can be prepared according to recipes.

A great prep cook will be quick and diligent and willing to improve on the job. As well as having the ability to follow instructions as well as all health and safety rules in the kitchen. The ideal candidate will also be able to function in a fast-paced, busy environment as a part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist in menu planning and recipe development
• Follow proper food handling and safety procedures
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen workspace
• Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely and efficient service
• Assist with inventory management and stock rotation
• Prepare and cook food items according to recipes and quality standards

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent is desirable; Training from a culinary school will be an asset
• Previous experience working in a kitchen or restaurant environment
• Knowledge of health and safety rules in a kitchen
• Knowledge of food service and preparation techniques
• Proficiency in using kitchen equipment, such as knives, grills, and ovens
• Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Excellent time management skills to ensure efficient food preparation
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality standards
• A team player with good communication skills
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays

• Monday to Friday
