The Royal Castle Story
Since 1938, Royal Castle has been more than a restaurant; it’s a legacy wrapped in the aroma of sizzling sliders and the fizz of birch beer, a place where every meal is a journey to Miami’s soulful past. With several outlets across different states, the Royal Castle empire flourished. It wasn’t all sliders and sunshine, though. There were setbacks in the voyage, including African-Americans’ sit-ins seeking counter service and women breaking down barriers in the late 1960s. The Singer family persevered through everything, their dedication unshakable.

“Good size menu with lots of combo’s. Picked up 6 Castle Burgers (a 6 pack) to go. CASH ONLY!! I ate one as soon as I got home. Same great taste brings back great memories. I hope they stay open forever so parents can bring their kids for a taste of their past. I’ll be back.t.”

“Back again for castle burgers. In on Thursday at 4 PM. This time I brought a friend
that hadn’t been here in 30 years. Had to sit and reminisce about what was here 60 years ago. Do you remember Funland Park 1936 to 1963. Got James Brimberry (the owner) involved. Said he had seen some old pictures. We both ordered 6 burgers. French fries and root beers. They were out of Birch Beer.
Will be back for sure..”
